Growth factors from skin cells (epidermal growth factors) are suitable as a simplified alternative to skin regeneration and wrinkle treatment with stem cells or stem cell-enriched autologous fat. Skin growth factors are the skin’s own tissue hormones, and can be produced biosynthetically these days.
The effect of stem cell treatment can be simulated to a certain degree with skin growth factors. In the course of this, growth factors are introduced into the areas affected such as the face, cleavage and hands, where they can spread their regenerative strength and improve skin quality. The skin will not be injured by this procedure.
How Is Treatment with Growth Factors Carried out?
In contrast to treatment with autologous stem cells, this type of treatment involves using a prepared serum from growth factors. Initially, the areas to be treated are disinfected and if needed, anesthetized locally with an anesthetic cream. After a short time during which it takes effect, the growth factors are introduced into the skin with precision using very fine, short micro-needles.
Depending on the type of serum used, and with regular application over a longer period of time, firming and rejuvenation of the skin, treatment of cellulite, fat reduction and/or hair growth can be achieved.
These so-called micro-needle mesotherapy treatments with growth factors are far more reasonably priced than stem cell treatment. Treatment is very simple and is normally carried out by the patients themselves at home after receiving instruction. Usually, treatment is carried out several times a week in the evenings before going to bed.
Occasionally, bruising, reddening or slight swelling may occur. After each round of treatment, you are fully mobile and able to work without any restrictions. You can normally apply make-up on the next morning after facial treatment.
It is possible to combine growth factor skin rejuvenation with other treatments. Growth factors are also suited for intensifying the effect of stem cell treatment. In combination with bioidentical hormones, excellent results can often be achieved with growth factors in the treatment of cellulite and skin rejuvenation. The skin becomes more elastic and fresh – even small wrinkles can disappear.
